I walk along my chosen path
Alive and totally aware
I hear a twig as it breaks
Yet they call me a dreamer,
I love the stones in my path
The round ones I kick aside
The flat ones I skip on water
But there are those that catch my eye.
For them I kneel and wipe away dust
And so release their brilliance
Holding up high the sparkling source
I bathe in its healing radiance.
Dear God this is your road along which I walk
When I dance my joy is Yours
And when I drink red wine
Each sip is my prayer of thanks.
Let me sit on my prayer rock
In the wood where I meet You
May I beg You for Your answer
This time asked in hesitant words.
You place before me signs of beauty
Perhaps rewards for my joyful thoughts
Even maidens who sway to rhythms
And know the secret of my heart.
But if they turn away
Should I no longer kick up sand
And raise up high my arms
As I begin to slowly sway?
Did a star lose its path?
Did a planet's spin go wild?
Because I dared to love
The beauty on my path?
No! No constellation faltered for a moment
As each maiden turned away
But a light slowly surrounds the one
Who promises to stay.

Thank you for this beautiful poem which made me think and giggle about the title and the poem in itself and I think you know why.
Sorry for not having the time to send you yet the promissed Romanian songs. It is just that I am very busy working long hours: teaching, astrological readings, spiritual counseling etc. and I also have my mom, brother and sister in law visiting and staying with us.
But I will do it my dear friend; just be patient with me.
Love and rainbows from Greece
Thank you again.
Hugs and blessings from SA....F
Very different poem from you, Fred but still that free..almost wild, care free feeling about it. I like it.
I'm so aware of God's blessings. Every day...just as you are. Makes life a joy.
Hi Lela. Glad you liked it. Come and visit again, won't you?
I enjoyed my visit to your blog. It's so inspiring.
I'll wait for that day when you're free enough to send me those Romanian songs. Time does not matter. Your convenience does.
Yeea, the title is a little cheeky. Why cry when you can laugh? Why agree to be a victim? Hahaha.
last two stanzas are full of deep thoughts..and thank you Dear for such tremendous comments on my video..
thanks again
Yes Minnie. You see so much in my poetry. It reveals the real poet in you. Yes...I've decided to be myself. How can one be anything else?
I'm ready too to show a light to help anyone on my path.
Yes it is a gentle talk with God. At the end he knows that he must not mourn his losses bur celebrate his gains. Thank you for your comment.
Yes...in the end one is trying to get close to Him. One can do that. He is not above being reached.
Your video was sheer delight. A big smile came all over my face and all my worries disappeared. Thank you for this joy.
You very subtlely use sand as a time element to lead us into your thankfulness to God for all the beauty life has offered you, but yet realize that age lessens your attractiveness to ladies as it once did, but yet you still have that yearning (sway) and know that there is at least one special lady who loves you and this satisfies your soul. Rather romantic ending to such philosophical verse. Thoroughly enjoyed so many of the lines that I dare not mame just one.
I'm glad that you saw the symbolism of the stones. I meant to say with respect to the crystal rock...that you care for it and in return it showers you with light or blessings.
You really know how to motivate wanna be writers Bill. I toast you for that.
Aha Julie. So good to see you. Thank you for your praise.
This is a gentle and soulful look at belief and faith which can be instructive to us all.
Your words really made me feel good as I read them. Bless you.
You're so right about finding the time and interest to interact with other ideas, things and people is part of knowing your path in its entirety.
Yes, I am filled with belief and faith. Thank you Tom.
I'm a one-time rock hound who often went out with a back pack and a lttle steel pick to remote areas to find what they call semi-precious rocks.
God has been kind to me me and has shown me so much
and your romance is spritual ..that is like a prayer ..pious and pure ..
the way you make a statement with stones on the path and way you connect god's will to maiden's dancing , moving away or staying back ...
God give us a bag of goodies with good and bad ..but only few of us remeber to pray and thank for good and accept bad as part of the deal...
you are a wonderful person
I think that the gift of a colourful rock is special and I'm sure that it gives positive energy to the owner.
Elsie I'm ver happy to be your friend. We share so much. Bless you.
Why the smile? Because I know that you understand me very well. What you say here is what's in my heart.
It's funny but only a few understand one's words when one enters the spiritual romantic world. But you've done so. That's why I give you that smile.
It's a smile of acknowledgement. Two people who understand have met. That's worth a special smile, isn't it?
see ..I am smiling again:-)
I love stones - all different kinds. I have a glass bowel of semi-precious stones on a window sill, and if one of the kids I work with falls in love with one - they get to take it home...
I'm a one-time rock hound and I wonderful joy and even a spiritual delight inlooking at them and running my fingers throught them.
Glad that you liked it.
Ahaa Neal. Kicking up sand!!! Yesss!!! Thank you for seeing so much. Makes it all worthwhile.
I'm so glad that you came to visit. Thanks for your very motivating comments.

Thanks.
I'm glad that you loved this poem. It came from the heart.
