lessons to be learned every day

Self destruction would be one lesson

i could teach :

it means to lose yourself in someone else

another person's ambitions and goals

and forget that you yourself 

are special and have a message to the world

if only you are heard and listened to 

and cared for.

 Dependency on someone else

 to provide for you

what you need is one more road

to self destruction

and the roads are many 

and the ways are infinite

so be on your guard

and do not let anyone

tell you that you are anything 

but a unique creation

a once in a life time work of art 

that will never return to this earth

so do not lose yourself today 

in other people's lives and goals and aims

but choose your fate

for you have the power 

and only you can open the door

to the gate called 

myself

and once you do

you can look at yourself in the mirror

and might find someone

you would like to call your friend

your self

able to give and receive

able to love and be loved 

without leading other people's lives

without needing to control those 

that stray from the plan 

you call life.

Stay up all night

a thousand perhaps more

but do not stray from the path

to be yourself 

tne best and most wonderful one

you can

because you are here today

and who knows what tomorrow 

brings

and what you can be 

if you do not dare and try

to be true and real

to yourself

the one created in the image

of the infinite goodness and wisdom

the sand is made up of many small grains

but each one counts

for without one

what sense does life make

when one is taken away

it does make a difference

so dont give up on being 

yourself 

and do not let others tell you

who to be

and do not tell others who to be

let yourself be part of the whole

but whole in being a part.
