You got it right! We're heading for a nasty problem. The economy is very weak here in Ohio, yet they fail to address it. Instead, they sugarcoat it and make it sound like everything is great. When in reality, our economy is going down the toilet.

What really amazes me is that the signs were all there, but we became complacent in all of the announcements in the mainstream media outlets that "all is well, unemployment has dropped, housing sales are great, the stock market is booming", that was all built on an illusion. If you put it in the media, most people will believe it.

America really should stop listening to everything that we hear and use our eyes to believe in what we see. You don't need a press release to tell you the state of the economy, nor do you have to be a financial analyst, just look at your finances and your quality of life, as well as those around you. To me, that's more indicative of where the economy is heading than a press release showing a pie chart of numbers of a suspcious nature. Remember, we were lied to about a war, and we bought that hook, line and sinker...

Whomever manufacturers the goods that the world market needs, is the entity that holds the power. We've lost our edge in that arena.

Please clarify this statement: There has not been such a disparity in wealth in the U.S. since France before the revolution

Amen, we're just moving money around at this point--It's all smoke and mirrors. I find it really scary. I think we're in for a rough ten or twenty-five years, if not longer. I don't think we've hit the worst of it by any means.

I figured this out about the same time you posted last year, even Chelsea Clinton works in investments or something.
