Switching From Comcast To Direct TV

I have Direct TV I liked Dish TV better, it was easier to use and didn't go out as much in a storm.

We use to have direct tv and it was great, we use to have Comcast and all we had were problems. We are now with Knology, I hope you like Direct tv.

I have heard some complaints about a lot of promised channels that end up being extra money. I like my cable best.

Haven't heard much bad about DirecTV yet..I still rely on Cable too.

I don't know about direct tv but dish sucks. My bill was supposed to be $40 per month it is always anywhere from $65 to $82 and they cannot seem to explain why. I am going to give them the axe!

I love Direct TV, we have had it about 7 years now. It does go out in a bad storm, but only for a little while and I have had cable go out as well. I get alot of stations to choose from and they are not repeat stations, like cable may have 3 stations of all the same thing. It is so much easier to pay my bill. I do it on the phone with no extra charge, its easy and automated. I was having trouble with the cable company, and you had to have a college education to understand the billing system, cable got to the point where we had to pay extra for some of the stations that we once once included as already in our package. I am not sorry, that we have gone with Direct Tv. Oh and since we hit the 5 year mark with Direct TV, we received a nice gift from them, it was a DVR. I love this machine. I can tape all of my show, its so easy to use, it does cost 5.oo extra on the bill for a two year contract, but we got the recorder free.

We are considering Direct Tv, because the cable company rates are high, and the service is bad. I am intrestred in people's opinions.

We don't have cable available here. I have direct tv, and it's fine. But the basic plan is boring. Nothing but reruns over and over.

We don't have Direct TV, but we have Dish Network and love it. We had had comcast for years and when we moved they kind of screwed us around, so we switched and I'm totally glad we did.

I have Charter cable for tv and the ineternet, the high speep internet stinks, not as fast as they are saying it is, I am wireless and I lose contact about the same time every night. About ready to go back to the phone line. It was almost as fast.

It is OK. Depending on the speed, I'm not sure it will be fast enough for the phone. Can you try it first? You will lose it in bad weather.

You'll hate it when it storms. The satellite goes out often, more often than cable with heavy storm cloud cover.

i had direct tv for a while. i heard that it would go out all the time but it didn't. i loved it. i was going to get it where i live now, but i am in an apartment and am facing the wrong direction.

I have Comcast which has some limitations on receiving 2 of the local channels. Two of my friends in different parts of the city has the same problems with reception on those 2 channels. The tech support is a joke.
My oldest son has had Direct TV for years and totally loves it. I'm thinking I need to switch.

I have heard great things about direct tv. With comast, we just keep paying more and more and yet not getting anything more.

I have comcast for my phone, cable and internet. It is a pain sometimes and we do keep paying more and more and getting less and less. I am about ready to try something else too. Customer service is also the pitts and they make everything out to be your fault and they put you on hold forever. Let me know how it goes, maybe I will be on board too. Good Luck!

They are coming to install the direvt tv in the morning. I'll let you know how it goes after we get it.

My GF has Directv and she has terrible problems when it rains or snows, or blows LOL
I HATE VERIZON! The best day ever was when i got Vonage so i could tell them to .......!
