It is Homecoming Day in Iowa City and Hawkeye fans are already tailgating. The Hawkeye Express, a train that runs from about a mile west of me to the back side of Kinnick Stadium where the Hawks play is running. I hear the Toot Toot every 20 minutes or so as it carries fans to the stadium. The tailgaters who pound the drums are also out. Even though the stadium is about 2 miles from me the sounds carry.
It is currently 57 in Coralville and a high on 81 is expected. The winds are supposed to pick up and be 15-25 mph this afternoon.
I will have a normal Sat. I am getting things ready for my trip to NV next week. Once all the game traffic is slowed down and the game is in progress, I will go to the Gym for my Saturday workout.
So....what do you have planned for your Saturday? Come o in and sit a spell and enjoy coffee with me.

Denise I'm glad you dropped in today.
SUPPOSED to be writing a proposal!
Please vote for French Fries if you haven't yet; less than a week to go!
I'll be 17. ^_^ I feel so young.

Really?! Hmmmmm...
Please vote for
French Fries if you haven't yet; less than a week to go!
but on the whole you are right... if they weren't uncaring, they'd do something about the ignorance
I've got some handicapped relatives and friends. I always hated the whole "you're retarded" thing...my great aunt is and she's one of the kindest, big-hearted people I've ever met. I've got her artwork lying around my room. ^_^ I put some of it on the walls, too.
Ma's gone and got herself skills!
Me thinks this phrase is not true, in the least!
the fact that they are both perfectly comfortable and willing to interact with people with all sorts of personal challenges - and treat everyone regardless of difference - with respect - is what matters.
