Members of one or more of my groups: It appears that I'm going to have to change all of my groups from PRIVATE TO PUBLIC because of the bizarreO way that adding your article to private groups is now set up. If you have anything that you want to edit or remove because you don't want everyone on Gather to be able to see it, please edit it NOW!

If you need a bit more time, just let me know ASAP! Thanks!

I still plan on having Private groups in the future and/or may change these back after the site changes are no longer new and/or if this adding to private groups problem gets changed.

I haven't been able to get back on until now. I kept getting error messages.

Anyway, the add to groups area makes no sense, as you cannot add your article to both public AND private groups at the same time. You must choose either or.

I'm not informed, what is the difference between the two groups. If it is private does that mean no one else can see the articles in it unless your are a member? It sounds like a stupid question, I'm just not sure.

It's not a stupid ques.! I made all of my groups private when I started each one to make it so no-one who is not a member can read or see anything that any of us post in those groups, unless we post them in public places as well.

Prior to this change, any content published to a private AND public group automatically became public, including comments posted to that content. Thus, publishing to both groups defeated the purpose for privacy.
