For all those that think Iran is doing nothing in Iraq

I have gotten really tired of people saying the President Bush is only trying to raise the rhetoric on Iran for some personal reason.  Iranians have been making it harder in Iraq and I thought this was a good article that some should see and read.

I think Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's speech before the UN said a lot more of what he DIDN'T want to say then what he was trying to BS us with. We're not impressed with his holier-than-thou attitude. If he wants to find "Satan" he need look no further then the nearest mirror.

So here is an article on the same site saying that Turkey was bombing into Iraq, so why aren't we going to war with Turkey?

I think appropriate measures should be taken against turkey too. If not they will try to hurt the kurds.

Iran has wanted to control Iraq since the Iran-Iraq war. The reason, George H.W. Bush didn't take out Iraq was because of the power vacuum that would have been created. That is why we must stay now and prevent Iran from takeing over Iraq.

Iran was doing nothing but what Israel has been doing for years. I saw nothing in that article to say they have been shelling or bombing US troops.

People just dont realize that it is in Iran's best interests to have a war in Iraq. It is the only way they can dominate the region and spread their ideology. We better deal with Iran before it is too late.

Iran confirmed for the first time on Sunday that it had been shelling camps of Kurdish militants inside northern Iraq, saying the local authorities had not listened to its warnings.

"The militant Kurdish separatist group PJAK -- linked to Turkey's outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) -- has been behind a string of deadly attacks on security forces in northwestern Iran in recent months."

SO? Who were they shooting at? People who came across their border and attacked them. Sounds reasonable to me.

It would be a lot easier to dominate the region without us there. That is one of the things the propaganda machine is afraid of.

That's okay because Turkey is our ally. When Saddam was our ally, we didn't say squat. The Shah tortured and killed thousands in Iran, not a peep because he was our ally.
We only raise our eyebrows when they torture/kill and are NOT our ally.

Colonel, Iran wants to dominate the Middle East. Iraq for years was their closest competition. With Iraq out of the way, Iran now has a free hand and more influence in the Middle East and in Iraq. They want Iraq to be weak and under Iranian influence. Its like what the Soviets did to Easturn Europe; they control more political power and resources. Besides, the last time there was a strong Iraq, a million Iranians died.

Ackmadinijad clearly believes the end times are near, and he wants to speed things up, he wants to start the war of Armageddon, as he believes from his "Holy" book.

Whatever you believe about the end times and Armageddon, really doesn't matter when there is a briefcase bomb or missile poised to take you out. Because HE believes it, we need to make sure he never has that ability. Because of his beliefs, he MUST use a nuclear weapon if he ever gets his hands on one.

our hands are currently tied in the region due to our present committments and a hostile press/Congress...imagine if our government could keep a secret and helped out the anti government Iranians with arms and financing...
