My son's growing up...

My son started kindergarten this year...and I really have noticed him starting to calm down and thrive. I know every parent thinks they kids are the greatest. But he is my baby and I won't be having any more so I am trying to really hold on to this time with him.

I was watching him last night at the doctors office. He saw a boy with a Lightning McQueen car and right away they started playing. He used to never be like that. It was so cute watching him be so social. He has been with me ever since he was born so it's cool watching him be his own person.

I don't know what I'll do when he finds a girlfriend and leaves me....I want him to be my boy forever!

it happens to the best of us, but heads up grandkids are even better. You can spoil the h--- out of them and then send the little darling home !!!!!!

He will always be your boy.....Don't look at it as loosing him to a girl. Look at it as gaining a potential daughter (in law).

I know how you feel. I have three kids. My youngest is my only girl. I think I hold on tighter to her because I can relate to her more than the boys.

I know the feeling - my girl just went potty all by herself and my son ate almost a whole jar of peas. They grow up so fast.

Awwww he is so cute! On Tuesdays my boy & I (and sometimes my daughter) go to the library & we go to singing & dancing time for toddlers...(my boy is almost 3...) and lately he has been wanting to sit with all the kids in the front & leaving me behind...I actually encourage it cause I feel it not only gets him ready for the time to leave me, but gets me ready for him to leave me. They grow up too fast!

I know how you feel. My baby is 31 now and has five of her own and we see them all the time. Her youngest will be three next week. Her oldest just turned 11 she said only 6-7 more years and she will be gettiing ready to leave home.

Our 4 year old grandsom started all day Head Start this year and goes to school 4 days a week with Fridays off. He is very disappointed that he can't go on Fridays too! He loves school! He stays with his Grandpa and me on Fridays while his mom works, so he tells me all about what he did in school during the week.
