I have survived one week of trying hard to get healthy. Sometimes I succeeded other times I did not.
I have increased how much water and tea I drink. In the morning I make a pitcher of fresh brewed tea and add ice. I take a bottle filled with this for work to drink throughout the day. I seem to drink more of this than plain water.
I have drastically cut back on soda. This has actually been easier than I thought. I had gone a couple days without. Then I bought a bottle of Sprite for the house. My husband wasn't feeling well and Sprite always settles my stomach. Well having it in the house was too much temptation. But let me say, I am now done with it. I drank that soda and then had so much gas for the rest of the night. It is amazing what soda can do to you. So I think I am done with that (at least for now).
Walking has been harder of a motivation. Somedays I get up and go before work and then later at night. Somedays, I just couldn't find the energy to do so.
I watched "The Biggest Loser" for the first time tonight. I was really inspired. This is something that I need to do. After the show, I took the Jax for a walk. Hopefully in the morning I will still be inspired.
I haven't lost anything yet. But I decided I am not going to judge by the scale so I am actually trying not to look. I have decided that it i not jut about weight but about health and maybe if I take the scale out of the equation than maybe this time I will have more success.
Tomorrow is a new day and I WILL start it off right!

I need to do this, too. I have fallen of the wagon so to speak. And I have been steadily gaining weight. I need to give up soda and watch my snacking. I work nights and have a hard time to bring myself to eat during the day, although I live on flavored coffee and heavy creamers..... I have gotten into some very bad habits myself.
Thank you for sharing, it makes me want to get up off my lazy butt and join you.
If you're dying for sweet tea, I recently bought and tried Stevia! You can't tell the difference between it and real sugar. It has no after bite taste like sweet N low. I've been cooking with it and all. It's worth the price and I now swear by it!
