Creating a "Want to Read" Booklist

If you love books like I do, I am always working on some lists. There is the one of books that I have read and then when I hear about a good book, I have a list for those that I want to read in the future.

I am not sure how others decide on books, but I like to hear what people think about them. I want to know if it held the interest of others. Well, the other night here on Gather, someone recommended a site to me ( I am soooo sorry that I can't remember who it was), but it is a fabulous resource for all my lists as well as to get a feel for what is out there to read.

I've heard lots of good things about Shelfari, but haven't tried it out myself. My books are too disorganized, and I'm mostly reading whatever gets sent to me for review, as opposed to things I'm selecting myself. ((though I do occasionally send out requests for particular books to review))

I have many lists of books I'm reading and want to read. I keep track of them at http://www.listsofbests.com/ which is also free. allconsuming.org is a sister site to it and has reviews of books, music, movies, foods, etc.

Right now I add books that are recommended by friends and I just got a list of books to be discussed by my alumni online book group this academic year. Most of them look interesting so I have added those to the list.

You simply have to read this blog about another site like Shelfari. (No, it's not mine!) The blogger is a knitter but happened to throw in an entry with a very entertaining book question in it. I would love to hear your answer(s).
