We dropped off my husband's car at a Honda dealership, because the repair shop we normally use said that the faulty airbag was a national recall and we should get it fixed for free at a Honda dealership.
Today the Honda dealership called and told us there was no such recall. He said the repair shop had no access to their recall database. I called back to the repair shop and of course the person there claimed that they had just as much access to the national recall database as Honda dealership did. They just wouldn't fix it for free, and he was doing me a favor by telling me to go to a dealer.
I called back to Honda and told them to proceed with the repair work, because it has been too long that we went without a second car. The Honda guy told me to be prepared that it would be a very expensive repair. I don't know what his definition of "very expensive" is, though.
My husband thinks that we are getting robbed. But there's not much we can do. We will most likely have to rent a car tonight because I have to have a car tomorrow.
