New Camera, Gather Guides Contest, Gift Cards & More

Well today has been a pretty good day!

My camera finally came in! YAY! That means I am now the proud owner of a new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 camera. It has 7.2MP and 12x optical zoom.  Plus lots of other cool features I have yet to get to play with (alas, the battery did not come charged, so I have to wait until it charges to start fiddling around with "Bob")  Hopefully tomorrow (or Wednesday at the very least) I will get to go exploring downtown again and get some better pictures. 

Not to mention I have to get to work on my entry for the Gather Guides Video Contest.  I'll give you a hint, it involves someone who has already made their gather debut on my namespace in photos as well as videos.   I think you all will love what I have planned *cheeky grin*.   

My waiting for my two $50.00 Borders Gift cards has paid off, they arrived in the mail today.  I will probably use these ones online, because I already raided my local Walden Books for most of their decent New Age Books, with my last gift cards. And it usually takes them a while to restock the New Age Section. I got  Solitary Witch by Silver Ravenwolf (I don't care what people say about her, I have respect for any woman who has done as much as she has for the Pagan Community), Provenance Press's Guide to the Wiccan Year by Judy Ann Nock, The Crafty Witch by Willow Polson (now I just need to learn how to crochet to make some of the cute things in this book!), a neat little book about the Buddha's life and teachings with a neato resin sculpture, and a kit for hot rock massage (which feels so good! now I can do it at home lol).  Quite a collection, all for basically free ( I think I may have paid 3.00 in taxes ) Thank you to all my connections and to gather for providing me with the gift cards! You guys rock!

Well that is about all for now, I am only a couple hundered points away from cashing out for another $50.00 Borders card, its a shame there is no Home Depot around here LOL I'd get some stuff for my house, maybe a new bookcase because I am running out of room hehe.
