The Parameters of This Group

Hello, ladies!

Hope your lives are happy and healthy.

I had a recent email asking why I (moderator of the group) declined her submission. I decline several posts every day because they are contest entries awaiting review.

This group's goal is to be a haven for women to post poetry, musings, tips/hints on writing, their experiences in life and in their jobs, etc.

I'm still figuring out the parameters of our group, but hope it will fall into place quickly.

If your post is rejected, please know that it is not a reflection of your work, but a structure and group content issue.

Also, if our group receives many posts by one member, I usually choose the most appropriate (?? hard to determine) ones and post those. That way the group doesn't consist of posts by one or two ladies only. Keeps us at an interesting mixture of members' work. Y'know?

Anyway, just letting you know the goal of the group.

Please, please, submit your posts! As women, we need to share, support, and help one another.

Also, if you have any suggestions on how to improve our small community, email me. I'm VERY open to your opinions.

Thanks Lea, right now I am up to my neck in aligators at work. But I will partiscipate, some times more than others. Thanks for the 'definitions'.

Thanks for clarification. I'll be submitting some stuff soon. I am a point whore for shore, but I do want to post some more serious writing (even if it's comedy).

Makes sense to me too. I don't take offense if my articles are unaccepted. Most times when I post something I just hit all the boxes anyway, so I expect them to be rejected. :-D
