We don't have a very big backyard, but there is always LOTS and LOTS to see in it, including tons of different plants and flowers!!
So we try to get out and play when we can! This particular adventure was on Saturday (9-22)
Madeline loves playing in the grass, and picking flowers!
and while playing we saw several caterpillars:
a butterfly hanging out on our passion vine:
a lizzard hanging out on our fence:
The Desert Rose was blooming beautifully!
and some tangerines are growing on our trees!
We can't wait till those are ready to pick!
by the time we were done, Madeline was getting tired, and ready for a nap

The caterpillar you saw is one that I saw yesterday at the State Fair. They say they are ones that change into a Swallowtail Butterfly. They are pretty.

We have a passion vine that grows on a pergola that my husband built in our backyard, and that vine is covered with caterpillars.
There must be atleast 20 that I have seen on it!!

Marianne~ That particular one I photographed is much larger than the others on the trees. Most are still pretty small. We have 3 tangerine trees in our backyard..
Eventually in the next couple of months they should start turning orange.
