(1.) A Fine Romance! Check out romancenovel.gather.com TODAY to find out who made the first cut in Gather’s First Chapters Romance writing competition. The field of hundreds has been narrowed down to the top 25! Starting TODAY the second chapter from each of the semi-finalists will be released so you can read, rate, and comment on the work. Thanks to everyone who has participated in this uniquely Gather event.

(2.) Speaking of uniquely Gather… here’s a big shout-out to Gather Guide Dan Tomkins for putting on a fun and engaging book give-away contest. Dan is giving away a cookbook he bought at Borders and paid for using his Gather Points! All you have to do is click here and share a funny or embarrassing moment you’ve had while cooking.
