I've thoroughly researched my craft, attended writers' conferences, networked with other writers, been published in newspapers, magazines, and in e-zines, and have given presentations on the subject of writing.

Now, it's time to share what I've learned with writers who are trying to break into the business (wish I'd had this info when I started my writing career).

I'm offering Short Sheet #1 - free of charge. It is called "Top 10 Reasons Editors and Agents Reject Good Manuscripts."

No, you won't be added to a list to receive any more of the issues.

I owe you an explanation for not accepting this into the Sunday Writing group. The criteria for the day is pretty wide open - any original fiction or nonfiction writing will be accepted. This is however a promotion that contains no actual writing. If you'd care to share some selections from your book or your life - or even your day - I'd be happy to include it in the group today.

If you want, I recommend reposting this tomorrow, and the day after and so on, because each day's member editor has different criteria for accepting articles.

Good idea for driving traffic, but you'd be better off to start collecting those email addresses and such for later marketing. It's conersions down the road that you want, not just hits.

Sorry 'bout that Ron. Afraid I sent this post to several of my groups - and since gather doesn't list the group's preferences next to its name, it's difficult to remember who's who.

Charlotte, my goddess connection, thank you for your post. I actually do have a half page (so far) of emails for folks who are interested in Short Sheets For Writers when they are "available."

Thought by informing my friends on gather, I might get some more interest in this project. I've put a lot of research and writing into it.
