We have been here several times but this was the first time Frog (almost 7) and Monkey (10yrs) toured.
Tours are free and include samples. When you come in they give you 4 wooden chips to redeem for beer (the kids didn't use chips.)
They used to give out huge glasses of samples but now they use smaller glasses. The tour includes the bottling area, grain silo, brewing tanks, cold cellar room, etc. It is a small brewery but kind of interesting to tour. We didn't get to go in the cold cellar thios time because the tour group was quite large.
The kids said the grain area smelled like dog food! I didn't get any pics until we got back into the bar/pub area which is really just one room with a bar and a few retro styled tables.
This brewery also makes their own Diamond Bear Root Beer, a sweet almost sasparilla flavored type. The kids got regular large sized plastic cups of root beer. Snack mix is also served.
and on to the pics...
A pretzel fell in her drink. Notice the growler (jug) on the table. If you buy one you can bring it back in and get another at reduced price. They are not pre-filled, you get them filled at the bar. This may be porter, you can also get growlers of root beer.
Drinking more root beer, it was hot in the brewery.

now she knows I am taking pics of her. "Hey! No pictures please!".

Chainsaw carving of a bear drinking Diamond Bear.

Frog attacks the snack mix

dh looking goofy (no he wasn't drunk he always looks like that!). Faux hops are looped from the ceiling. Notice the merchandise in the background. Diamond Bear sells t-shirts and other souvenirs. There were a bunch on sale for $7 each.
Several beer cup medals are in frames along the back wall. The photo by dh's head is a pic of former president Bill Clinton w/an owner.

Closing time. Dh and Frog with one of the owners.
