Good Morning Gather, or Audrey's Crazy Coffee Club

I had a long night's sleep unlike the Evening gang who were partying until the wee hours.  Just read  all 9 articles from last night.  It's a new record (9).

It is in the 60s this morning in Iowa but supposed to hit the upper 80s this afternoon. I will be singing in church and the this afternoon the church choir is going to sing at a nursing home in West Branch (Home of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library).  We have a long time loyal church member who resides at the nursing home since her stroke.

I will probably watch the Nascar Race when I get home.  What plans do you have for today?  Come in and sit a spell and have some coffee and conversation.

Hi J.F. I know how you felt. I overdid on the cleaning and paid for it last evening. Once I got to sleep I slept nearly 9 hours. The evening group went on til nearly 3 AM. Wild bunch was partying hearty.

Some of both. She sill be staying with me 3 nights, but is going to visit her daughter during the day on Tues. and Wed. Her daughter is mentally ill and in a care facility. It is so hard on my friend and I will give her a respite those evenings.

It has been a very difficult thing. Her daughter who is ill is her first born. She has a son who is 17 and dropped out of school. He also had a hard life. Her husband was worthless and didn't support them.

That is really awful. She is lucky to have you as a friend. When people go through hard times some people abandon them. You find out who your friends are over the years.

SHe and I were playmates as little girls and she moved away. She returned in high school but graduated a yr. ahaead of me and we weren't in touch for 48 yr. She found me through CLassmates.com after her husband passed away. We reunited and have been close since.

Hi Fran. You surely can't beat good friends. Avfter she contacted me by email we started phonging. She was so lonely after losing her husband to Huntington's Disease and said she wished I could come to Florida to visit her. I though why the heck not so I flew down and the rest is history. I have gone down to visit 4 winterrs now for a few weeks and she has been here.

I had to leave about 10 PM cuz I was having a lot of sciatica pain and meeded heat on my backside. They really got to going for hours after that. It is a wonderful place to find friends and have some fun.

I was not doing much today. Except on Gather as storms were passing through on and off all day. Lost power at least 4 times. But it was worth it to get great food cooked on the grill.
It's only flagged because of harassment. There's a wonderful article out today by someone named Sande (I believe) who is charging with ignorance all who chat, or post games or do yada yada yada here on Gather. Well, ya know, the one's who are agreeing with her have on their sites games such as "Name something beginning with Q." and "Name your earliest thought." and "yada yada yada." Then, someone has the nerve to flag a chat? You betcha that we is ignerent folks, fur sur! We continue to haunt the same site these other people do. We deserve better!
It's not Sande, it's Sandy who put today's article on the map. Excuse me for the goof.
