Playtime

Jaxper, our dog, is running in front of Belle, our older cat, trying to entice her to play.  She is walking slowly and steathily past him.  He keeps trying to entice her and is running in and out of the room.  Belle is too good for this, being chased thing.  She walks out of the room and Jax follows her still trying hard.  Belle comes running out of ther other room and Jax is right on her tail.  He definitely gives the cats a run for their money.  He is always right behind them.  She sits down and looks at him.  She hits him on the head and then she goes to lay down, after all she is the princess of the house and will decide when to play.

Now Nala, the younger cat, sees this from atop the perch.  She needs to get involved.  So down she comes and starts to chase Belle who has just gotten balled up and comfy again.  She chases Belle who is being chased by Jax (I really think he thinks he is a cat, but that is a different story).  I love watching when the three of them are playing together, they are so cute.

Belle plays for a moment and then sits down and hisses at Nala which is her saying "I am not playing so stop it"  Belle goes and lays down.  Jax and Nala also go lay down, but looking in Belle's direction to know when  she would like to play.

Belle is the leader in our house.  What she wants the other two will follow.  She has decided that playtime is over and Nala and Jax will just have to deal with it.
