I just finished reading this book and I highly recommend it.
Ben Orbach is an American Jew who spends a year living in the Arab Mid East. His book is written in letter format and is extremely easy to read. He tells of the friends he made, and the travels he takes through the Mid East including Syria and Egypt. This is not a political book. Ben does state his opinions on our current situation in Iraq but he does not pontificate. The book is really about friendship and his adventures.
