I couldn't find where anyone had started a chat this morning so I thought I would procrastinate my daily chores for a few more minutes!!
Glad you did so that I could at least say 'good morning'. We're expecting rain all day and night and into tomorrow, so I'm right now cooking two meals, for today and tomorrow, creamy mushroom chicken ala crockpot, and a meatloaf. I just love to be lazy when we have this weather and as soon as I'm done, I'm done.

I can remember when son #1 had just gotten his car. He was dating the deputy sheriff's daughter and they broke up. The break-up was mutual but her friends didn't like it when he started dating someone else and they started throwing rocks at his car. One actually went inside and broke something on the dash panel. Thankfully it didn't hit and hurt him. That happened on school property and the school became involved. Then that bunch of girls(not his ex GF) beat up his new GF. There was a parents meeting with the parents of those girls called in. That pretty much stopped what was happening.

I was just watching on TV last evening when they were talking abuot a company called DayJet. The small jets are chartered out to people/corporations that don't want to hire the expensive Leers. They are ONLY 1.5 million to buy. LOL

Only! It's a lot cheaper to charter one than it is to own it because they maintenance alone will kill you. I've never heard of DayJet before, I'll have to google them later.

I live with my grandparents right now for financial reasons, and I really don't know what they would do if they didn't have Jack around.

They're both retired now, so they look forward to spending the days with him. When Jack and I went to visit my aunt in California this summer my grandparents picked us up at the airport when we came home, you would have though I was chopped liver! They both swooped in on Jack and wouldn't let him go! It's too cute!

The closest mine were is 17 mos. apart, The first two were 18 mos apart, the third would vae been another 18 months after two but was lost in my 6th month, Number 4 came along 3 1/2 years later, then 17 mos to number 5 and another 17 mos to number 6.

Jack is actually named after his great-grandpa and his middle name is after his grandpa on his dad's side. I'm pretty sure if his dad and I had stayed together I'd be pregnant again too.

I commend you Cindi! I don't know how you have the energy to take care of three at the same time. My one makes me want to take a nap before noon when I'm home with him all day!

Oh, I must have been a bad grandma....never had to be a baby sitter to my grand kids. Well, none of them lived in the same town. I am close to them all however, but now that they are all teens or adults it is hard to be as close as when they were little.

Yeah, I'm sure that once I've go the hang of it, and am out of that "first baby" pahse, having more kids later would be easier.

It's kind of like my mom. She had me when she was 18, so I'm 26 next month, my little brother is 17 and my baby sister is 12. I wish we were closer in age because since I moved out of the house at 18 I don't really get to spend a whole lot of time with them now and I'm not a close with them as they are with eachother. I feel more like a mom than a big sister.

I work in aviation Flit, what databases do you run? I'm always looking to find a new charter program, or a way to track my flight times. We use NavPak and FltOps right now, and they are NOT my favorite!

the course I teach just uses MS Access ... its their first exposure to databases ..... focus on the concepts

when I had it before, I changed it from working right from the textbook the way it was.... to make it more applicable to aviation ..... it was great...and the feedback was excellent ....

was sooooooooo upset to lose it last year ...I like the Aviation Management guys

She is graduated from college with anBs in Nutrtional Science and is a registered dietician. She is currently director of the North Central Iowa W.I.C. program.

Had to work last night and it was too late when I got in, hubby had fallen asleep and then got up and did some work, which meant he had the computer. it works really well for most smaller uses... the nice thing about it, too, is that if it gets too big, it can be moved into SQL Server (MS's bigger database program) with the click of a button

Yep, we're one of the smaller companies out there. We only have 2 planes on certificate right now with more to come at the end of the year (hopefully). What would you recommend for me to look into for aviation databases flit?

Erica, It's nice to be able to stay home with the baby in the early years. I don't regret the time I spent with my daughter. But, I wish I'd started back to college sooner, when she started regular school. It would have helped, and I do think it could have worked. I did later.

Well, the purpose of FltOps is to monitor the flight time of the aircraft and the duty time of the pilot's. We run reports off it that are used when the FAA comes to audit us to make sure that when we run 135 trips the boys aren't going over their 14 hour duty times. Supposedly you can use it to quote trips too, but we don't use that feature.

I am going to kick out of here Cindi. I think I will try some hot lemon tea. I need to try to do something besides sit and don't know if I will last long at it. My headache is a little better though. I think I'm getting the sinuses to empty out a little. I want to takle taking everything out of my curio cabinet, and cleaning it goo. The cabinet has doors but with all the summer construction in the area I still get dust on everything.
