Acrylics and Concrete

I'm republishing this for the new art group.

I’ve always enjoyed painting and drawing on surfaces rougher than then the stand drawing papers and illustration boards.

These are some paintings I did on concrete stepping stones and bricks. I paint the surface first with watered down acrylic outdoor house paint. I water it down so that it seeps down into the

concrete better. The artwork is done in artist’s acrylics and then sprayed with abo fileId:3096224744079628;size:full; ut 10 coats

of clear coat.

The Wave.

Moggy, these are lovely and quite a bit different from "lighter" pieces. I especially like the round formats, as they seem to capture our admiration for organic form. "The Wave" exhibits attractive, decorative qualities. Nice intuitive feeling for shapes and color, as if these were miniature murals for high-profile wall spaces.
