My computer time today has been spent working on a book cover for somebody at Stone Garden Publishing. I did four versions and he'll probably hate all four - ha ha - probably not - but I LOVE trying things different ways. And the author HAS to be happy with it. It's his book. Some books are more "visual" than others. I first look through the manuscript and I make a list of all visual things. Betrayal, or hearing the neighbors having sex is not a visual thing. But this one takes place at a theme park. There's arson in the spook house. There's robbery. There's a hay ride. There's wolf masks. There's guns. I had visual things to write down for sure. There's lots of ways to put some of those visual things together. You just play with it for awhile. It's my "computer game".
And I also want the author to see that I spelled everything right. I can just imagine doing a visual arty "masterpiece" and then spelling something wrong - ha ha!

READ MINE! LOL. Right here and now. I can't read yours, gotta go. I'll be back in an hour?
I'm usually the one coming out of the gate with something dumb and I need to re-think things - ha ha. But that's all part of the fun (I hope I'm not giving authors heart-attacks in the meantime until I get it right !).
(see how Gather sucks you in?)

It's in general fiction - and there's reviews there, too!
I did two articles today, I guess - I got carried away.
