So folks, here are our teams for Week number 3. It's exciting, yes?
Who's going to take it?
Who will bite the dust?
Who will make the big plays?
Who will walk to the locker rooms with their tails between their legs?
Who are your top 10?
Who are your bottom 5?
Who are you picks for each division (see all 8 divisions below)?
Or are you just too CHICKEN to call it yet?
Go ahead, I dare you -- no -- I double-dog DARE YOU!
Talk it over?
Next week will speak volumes . . . or will it?

Lawrence H. has an NFL Top 10 for week 2. Personally, I prefer it, because it is based on the 2-0 wins of these teams. Give the winning teams there props. Take a look here
There is a Football 101 article, click here, and for last week's article, here.
So now, about the N F L ! ! !
NFL TEAMS and,

The National Football League is split into two conferences, further split int 4 divisions. Those conferences are the The American Football Conference (AFC), and the National Football Conference (NFC). It looks like this:
NFC: North, South, East, West -- the 4 NFC divisions
AFC: North, South, East, West -- the 4 AFC divisions
Have you wondered how a NFL football schedule gets decided? Nope, it's not that someone is paid off, although . . . hmmm, rather the teams in the divisions MUST play their divisional teams twice in a season, first and foremost. Being your division champ, along with the team's total winning record for the season determines whom shall move on to championship games AFTER the season's end. The big prize is the Superbowl game. We'll talk about the importance of this, as well as the player positions soon. By the time we finish, women will have taken OVER football! It's very competitive though and all super, super, superbowl fun.
*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
This are the 32 Teams comprising the National Football League.
The teams with asterisks are the teams you here at Gather
chose on the survey I did asking about your favorite teams, and if you click on them,
there will be additional information throughout the week and the season as I
update the articles. (I TOLD you the on the article the question I posed was purposeful.)
The articles will remain there and will continue to be updated with your team's data.
If your team isn't included, go to this article -- click here -- and name your team, and let me know. That way it can be included in Gather's favorite NFL's teams (asterisked below) as well, as long with other data.
I hope you enjoy it, because, football is so much fun -- the funnest sport there is:
AFC East
AFC North
AFC South
AFC West
NFC East
NFC North
NFC South
NFC West

Here's 2 predictions:
Bears beat Cowboys 28-21
Steelers give Niners first loss :)
I don't usually do football picks, but those are 2...we'll see how it goes...
"The Drunken Monkey"
There are a number of divisional games being played this week . . . hmmm and you know these folks are testy.
C'mon, talk to us!
Talk it up!
Personally, I think Kris M. has the tightest Icon on Gather.
I am going to run it by my guys here and see if they are,
but I think -- in the words of Michael Jackson --
that Black Kat, with that pose looking at all of us like,
hmmph!
You all ain't NUTTIN
I'm the toughest cat in this town!
Well . . .
Yeah, Kool Kat
You Bad
Go on with your Baaaad self
You BAD!
I read that. There is talk that Dallas may go all the way this year
(Superbowl)
I say,
IN A PIG (skin's) EYE!
(Yes, I know they don't use pigskin anymore, but you get the point).
You speak correctly. So much for the forecasts of
a self-proclaimed "drunken monkey"
except I LIKE THAT DRUNKEN MONKEY!
cuchey cuchey cooo!
There have been seasons past where the Giants have looked out of it, only to fool everybody. I know they have fooled me. I would not be the least surprised if this year were not one of them. It is going -- possibly -- to be a long year for the Niners too.
We need some "Mafioso" help. (I'll just leave it at that.)
I dis-like sports. In saying that I take any or all of my grandson's to base-ball practice-games etc. I feel they need it as much as they need math. Also my girls were in sports. I go to games here & there, but that is were it ends for me. thanks. I don't like not answering a note that someone took the time to send to me, a lot of work went into this. I rate it a 10

God Blessings
dee-dee
As I said before, I've got plenty of my own photos of the 49ers, but few of the other team players, so I found a site where they are willing to SHARE their images of Mr. Peyton Manning. I will download them to this page, and to his own ball club page. Just give me a few. Since they are free, I just need to scan them and make sure there isn't a catch (I don't mean a pass) I mean something like a virus!
Let me scan them, and if they are safe, they'll be up in a JIFFY!
~Lady Nalita Oprah Obama Newton Subaheim-Wurbitzer :-)
Enjoy!
I am a bad cat, aren't I?
Forgot to say I'm following the Bucs too -- Gaines Adams from Clemson went there and I want to be able to say, at the end of the season, "I told you guys how good he is!"
Nalita, this is awesome. If the Subaheim-Wurbizers had had you planning their immigration, there would never have been any problems! :)
Check out my TOP TEN in the NFL for this week!
Just click on my name and select it.
(What is Kris talking about with the Subs and wizenheimers?)
1. Patriots
2. Colts
3. Chargers
4. Pittsburgh
5. Baltimore
6. Denver
I don't see much dispute.
Dallas should make it.
Philadelphia too.
Seattle and Chicago are locks
But who knows about the rest of the crew..............
Stern face speaking:
Look Little lady! The reason you HAVE to send special emails to your "fans" to get themto come and make their picks is BECAUSE you did NOT title your article correctly. This should have a title that says: WEEK THREE IN THE NFL - PICK 'EM - or something like that.
I personally passed it right up except when Robert B put his picks on YOUR niner article I started to look for it. I just am too lazy to do another one just for picking games... lol.
ALSO - while still in the stern voice:
There are 16 games each weekend! You have not listed them ALL. You did this last weekend also. A complete list PLEASE!!!!! (stern face to accompany the voice of dedicated teacher...).
Where is Noelle? Kris showed up and did not make his choices! Where is Mike?, Nick? The football knowledge of Gatherites everywhere? What's going on here?
MY PICKS: (for ALL the games - not just the 12 listed above.)
KC over MINN - KC is bad but they win at home and MIN has QB issues.
The Jets over MIA - it's a pick-'m game and the home team deserves the pick.
OAK over CLE - same reason as above.
PIT over SF - the NINERS (I love 'em) are just not ready to beat this bunch on the road but I'll be watching and rooting for my NINERS!! GO NINERS!
CAR over ATL - I can't pick ATL until they show me they can play this season.
DALL over Da Bears - I'm torn on this one. I HATE the Cowboys, but Grossman has been pitifully inconsistent and the DALL D may be the factor here to win in CHI.
WASH over the NYG - again the NYG are pitiful!! They have to show me they are worth even watching this season.
NE over BUFF - no reason needed.
SD over GB - GB has won enough surprises already. Home field or not, SD will not lose this game.
BAL over AZ - I am not an AZ believer yet - and I love BALT. Their D will win this one.
PHIL over DET - again home field and PHIL is better than DET.
CIN over SEA - I'm going out on a limb here. I hate SEA but they should win at home - I"m going to pull for CIN.
IND over HOU - the BIGGEST game of the weekend and Nalita did not have it on her list! HOU is the surprise of the year with Matt Schaub at QB and starting out at 2-0! But they will not beat INDY.
TB over St L - again I NEVER pick St L unless I have to. I'm a NINER fan, remember? and St L is the EX-LA Rams! 'Nuff said on that. TB's D is good enough to win this at home.
Den over JAX - Den has won two squeakers but they will win at home in this one.
MONDAY NIGHT game - Neetah!: NO over TENN - NO has started poorly and TENN is playing very well, but I think this is a MUST win for NO or their season may be over.
That's it - Robert B - THESE are the picks of the "guru" - ha, ha - fun ain't it?
ROFL. Tom, I love you. You already know that. I doubt there is anything you could do to change that.
As far as my grade teachers go, I never was admonished -- that's the trouble. Even when I was bad, they found excuses for me -- you know teacher's pet.
Tom, the reason I have not placed all the team on here is because the Gatherers have desired them. As it stands now, not all the articles have comments.
The emails I send out are ONLY to the Gathers who responded to the article,
"Who is your favorite NFL Team?"
Go ahead, check around and see.
I feel it was my responsibility to keep them informed since they expressed an interest in football. No one else is receiving these emails.
If someone else does say, "Hey, where are the Titans" or something like that, then I'll respond. Such was the case with the Jets, and as you can see I added them, when they were not on the first article.
Tom, this is time-consuming, as you may imagine and is cutting into home life ;=) so if Gatherers don't show interest, why bother?
However, for you, ANYTHING. As is said in the vernacular,
WHAT YOU WANT, DARLIN'? TELL MOMMA ALLLL ABOUT IT!
Tom Brady couldn't touch Manning.
Now Montana and Elway could, although I cannot erase that image in my head of Elway picking his nose.
Kris:
Bad cats are the BEST cats! The BADDER the better. Who wants to be bothered with a good cat? Heck, cats have ATTITUDE. Said in a better way,
Cats have "AT-TIT-TUDE"
Ever tell a dog to "come here"? They run right to you.
Now tell a cat to "come here." They look at you as if you say,
"Say WHAT! How dare you summon ME!"
Then they turn their head, close their eyes in a snooty manner and pretend you don't exist. They IGNORE you.
Now, if you have something to offer, they might consider honouring you with their attention and their presence, but you must PRESENT yourself to his/her Royal Highness properly, not
"Come here."
AT-TIT-TUDE!
That's why this year he's passing Montana (and Aikman). by winning his 4th SB ring. And remember prior to Brady Montana was my all-time fav so I say this with respect. Peyton, I think he has one ring. Elway 2, Favre 1.
And for looks (and as a guy I shouldn't even be commenting here), Brady wins. But the best looking person is the one that this article belongs to. :+)
I think at this point (lol), I am stepping over the sidelines.
I am OUT OF THIS!
