Just heard that the Power Rangers are celebrating their 15th anniversary this year. Wow. I mean, really -- wow.
I remember watching the original series between college classes so I could keep up with my adorable little nephews' addiction to the corny show. The oldest of those sweet little boys is off to college this year . . . . Meanwhile, my own kids watch revamped versions of the Rangers on various channels and in various costumes, characters, stuff to morph into, etc. I never would have thought back in the day that my kids would one day be watching a continued version of this crazy fad.
I made my husband roar with laughter the other day. I came home to find him watching an old, old episode. I hadn't seen these original series' episodes in years -- not since they were original! I pointed at the freaky lady with the overdone eye make-up and said, "Oh, that's Evil Gina!" He was shocked that not only did I id the show within seconds, but even remembered the cheezy villain's name. Sorta took me by surprise, too!
I just hope Disney doesn't send them out on ice this year though . . . . That would just be overdoing it, don't you think?

Yeah, Power Rangers on ice would be rediculous...but quite comical...
