Should I have flagged it. It was not graphic just tragic. IF you want to flag my article please be brave enough to tell me why. NO comments suggested it should be flagged. The art of flagging is becoming a real childish thing to do. If I flagged and article, I'd be brave enough to say why.

A link to an article is not spam. Nor should it be flagged.
If people don't want to see that in their email on Gather. Than they can true that feature off or hit the delete button.
i casically laughed,wrote her,and gave her 2 reasons..she hasnt said anything snce
i read the kathy article and commented on it.your right, nothing flaggable,i think someone is purposely going around and throwing their weight around for no reason...the gather gods should be shot
thats my opinion
It didn't stop me from your reading your article...and now that I know things can be flagged so easily, I will pay those flags less attention!!
First Chapters Romance Contest Your Gift To Me
That is interesting.
I don't think rape is a dirty word. It is a shameful offense, but SHOULD be talked about and should be demystified in an effort to keep it from happening whenever possible.
That's my take on it, and I'm sticking to it!
No reason for a flag. Shame on the flagger.
Prior to reading your article I probably would have reacted the exact same way you did. After reading it however, I now understand that it is not just protecting our children but all children, be watchful and assist. If someone finds that a difficult article to read the nthey need to sell all their belongings and buy an island somewhere b/c this stuff happens way too often and ignoring it or attempting to censor the relay of info is not going to make the problem go away...if anything it creates a more condusive breeding ground for it.
Thank you for hte post and for sharing what must have been one of the most painful and get wrenching experiences you went through as a human being as well as as a parent. Moreover, kudos to not allowing the BS "other" flag to gag you, but to use it as another avenue to get the word out.
And to the flagger: if you live in my neighborhood please move.
See now you got me ranting on 2 different articles, damn it I am too tired to write another "Flagging is a cowardly response" article...
It's good for people to see personal accounts of stuff like this and not just News reports of people and places they can't associate themselves with.
But......... I think personally just to avoid "upsetting" sensitive people and what not, I'd edit it and put at the very top something like:
Please beware that the following is my personal, real account of a horrific crime and there is mention of the murder of a child. If you feel you may be too upset to read this, please do not.
