Do you let your kids play on trampolines?

Yes we do! Have one just like yours with the safety net in our yard! We've had it since my son was about 2 years old, they love it!

If we were able to get one, yes, I'd let them play on it. I would want them to be supervised and careful, though!

Having worked in the medical supply business, I know that trampolines are not truly safe. We fitted more ankle supports, crutches, and other items for people who had accidents while jumping around on a tramoline. Even those with nets found themselves getting injured.

well I don't have one- I am a daycare provider and am prohibited from having one. My friend has one though & I have to really watch my kids in there because when she has a lot of kids over they just jump onto0p of each other & my kids are only 2 & 4 and they get tramples ALOT!!

So many things aren't "safe" that kids play with EVERY single day! We love our trampoline and so do the kids!

My aunt and uncle had a trampoline, and we were required to have at least one adult spotter whenever we wanted to jump, and we had to wait either half an hour or an hour after dinner. We were also only allowed to have one person on the trampoline at a time, and had to stay as close to the middle of the trampoline as we could.

With all those rules, we only rarely had anyone get hurt, and more often than not, it was because we got pinched by one of the springs, rather than falling off.

i broke my ankle on one when i was in 6th grade but i would still let my kids play on it.

I would not let my kids play on one for years. I finally relented to their begging to use one of the many belonging to the neighbor kids. the result: My son ended up getting his mouth smashed with a water bottle while he was sitting on the side observing (yes, there was a parent supervising), He's front teeth were nearly knocked out, blood everywhere and he now needs a root canal on his front tooth. No more trampolines for us!

I don't have kids, but if I did, I would let them with the proper supervision! Your kids look like they're having so much fun! I've always wanted one of those. I have a mini trampoline which I use for exercise and I love it. It's a GREAT cardio workout!

I would let the kids play on one but only one at a time. When they do anything together, they do hurt each other and that's on the ground!!

We have one and my son loves it. He's very active so its a good way to burn off energy. We watch him and our doesn't have springs which I heard was one of the worst things about them. So far he hasn't got hurt but one of his cousins got kicked in the face on accident and a bloody nose from the encounter. It wasn't too bad but it has made us watch extra carefully when they play

My handle name is "Trampolineone." That name was given to me as I owned two trampoline centers in the 1980s for almost six years. I was one of the best when it came to the sport but am sorry I ever learned of such a device. For more than twenty years I have had constant back problems and at times am unable to walk. Even surgery is unable to correct the problem.

I have seen injuries so severe that it has left children disfigured for life. I will never allow my grandchildren to ever jump on a trampoline.

I played on them as a kid so did my daughter until a tree fell on it and destroyed it.I was so happy noone was on it then.

I have never had a trampoline.. My kids never expressed the desire to have one either. I have heard from a friend in insurance that it really raises your house insurance around here if you do have one.

Half of the things we did growing up in the 60's would be outlawed today. We used to ride in the back of my aunt's pickup truck, standing up, looking over the top, going down the highway, at 70 or 80 miles an hour. We loved it. She'd be on the 10:00 news today getting carted away in handcuffs. It's all about how supervised the kids are and how much sense you have. We knew better than to act out & wave - at 70, you HANG ON. Kids today see so many idiots on TV acting out & have so little supervision that they don't know the difference. BTW - my own son broke his skateboard trying to jump off the roof to landing point he had set up. Of course, he is my son....

We had one until the "tropical storm" hit Oklahoma and blew it on top of my FIL tractor and tore it all up.

I want another one so bad but our wind w get blows it everywhere and it done hit my van "thankfully done no damage.. and hit my husbands truck putting a small dent in front fender..

I agree with Bridgette a trampoline is not any more dangerous then anything else they do. They could wreck their bike and twist an ankle just as easy. My kids aLOVED it soo much and someday I hope we can get another one and have it fenced in so it cant roam around when its windy!
