During my recent trip to Williamsburg, we drove to Jamestown and Yorktown. During this drive, we happened to see on the side of the road a place called President's Park. How neat!!!
This is the entry to the park, from the Visitor's Building.
Wait! I have to get in there!
The faces are so very well done. Except for maybe Nixon, Reagan, Clinton - the likenesses are amazing. Julie posed with President Andrew Jackson:
and of course these are all in Chronological order...
I believe that's President Taft coming up on the right....
And since I'm from Missouri, I posed with President Harry Truman!
You can see President Lincoln behind him. What a neat memorial to our Presidents! Though as we walked around the park, I noticed there wasn't much room left...I guess they will have to add more land later?
There's also a reproduction of (the old) Airforce One on the grounds. It wasn't very good. But the statues themselves were awesome. Each one had a board next to them with their accomplishments in office, famous quotes, personal information. Very interesting, and if you want to read everything, give yourself plenty of time!!
