I love living in the forest!!

This morning while I was earning free stuff at netwinner I was visited by a squirrel! We have been throwing our organic wastes into the garden area lately since the winter is just arround the corner and the soil can always benifit from some extra nutrients. The organic wastes feed the area critters (so they don't feed on our plants and vegtables) and they will break down and replenish the soils nutrients (if the critters dont eat them).

Anyway this squirrel cam running down the tree in our yard and he sat on the deck for a bit before he got some fruit to munch. I got a few photos and a video to share.

I just love living in the forest, it is quiet and clean and obserivng the wildlife is so cool! We got some hale and rain last night and the one day of storms filled my rainwater barrel 3/4 of the way full. It's much cooler today and the wind has started up, I think fall is just about here.

Oh, one laste thing! I finished my frist 100% hand made purse yesterday in preparation for the holdiay craft shows! I post a photo of that too!

I know, it so sad about the fires... A few years back here in Northern Arizona we had so many big wildfires! It so sad and unreal to witness. Do you live near there?

We have a big oak tree and we get visits from squirrels all the time. I love it

Not anymore, but I lived all over southern CA for 50 some years. I live in southern Nevada now but we still get the smoke up here when the wind blows northward. Yuck! I remember the fires a few years ago. Arizona and Oklahoma were hit particularly hard.

Oh that's fun. I live in Arizona too - but in a very suburban area - no wildlife here!
And yes I remember the fires - that's when my daughte was born June 2002. It's all in her baby book.

I had to drive all the way around the oak creek fire to get to work from flagstaff to sedona, it was so sad and so inconvenient! People need to thin the trees on their land and clean up the weeds and brush to prevent these fires from spreading!
