The pool is offically closed

Well after the 38 degree mornings we have had, it was definitely time to close the pool.  Even with the solar cover the pool temperature dropped dramatically. This is the first September we have ever kept the pool open after labor day!!!

What a great summer swim season we had. The kids were in the pool A LOT.  At least with the winter coming we will have some great memories of this past summer.  It's sad to see it go, but everything has a season.

winter's coming.. Its 75 and 7:29 in the morning! I love living in FL!!! You ready for winter???
I have a feeling the pool in our complex will be closed this week. I was really hopping for an Indian Summer, too. But, alas, we have had such a horrible week of cold weather that it hasn't given the pool a chance to stay warm- and they don't use a cover, either!

It is supposed to get back into the 80's this week...yuck. Our a/c doesn't work right, I have been happy with the cooler weather.

Another reminder of transitioning into Fall. Thanks for the touching comment on my article abut teachers. I got teary-eyed thinking about how that teacher stepped up for your child. This is what makes Gather wonderful, reading comments like yours.

dont ya just hate it...all that work to get it open, water all balanced, now...its over...ugh
