There were two great neighborhood yard sales today.

Janie had an hour and a half before she needed to go to work, so we checked out this group of 5 sales in the Irvine Park neighborhood, just on the edge of downtown St. Paul. One of the sales wasn't very good. The other 4 were amazing.

Tin fire brigade bucket

We could have passed this buy, but why not buy it? I quizzed the woman who sold it to me and all she could say was it was from one of the small towns in Southern Minnesota. This was one of those buckets every home had. When there was a fire, everyone grabbed their bucket and came running. For it's scrap value in tin alone, it's worth $17, but that's not going to happen, of course.
