Story idea, is it good enough to tell?

Prophecy

When forces of good and evil

Light and night fight

Across two skies

Chaos will cut through the land

Laying waste like a flood

Come to the peoples of all

Three shall rise from the ash

Of unbalance

One of light and one of night.

One of balance to bind.

The three shall do battle with the flood

Of change

Fantasy story idea, centered on a Prophecy, a story that I keep coming back to time and again. I have the story line: the prophecy, which is where the story died. Latter I stumbled upon it again, and it breathed in me for a while, enough so that I developed some characters, and then it faded again, lately I have stumbled upon the prophecy, and realize that it still breathes. Now all I need to do is find the characters (they are buried in another notebook). I have never had a story that has sparked flames, and then died, and then breathed again, and don’t know if the story is worth the bother…..but it fades to sleep, or into a coma, only to awaken in me again…begging to live…..please let me know what you guys think, is it worth telling?

I keep all my stories together. On the computer if possible. Makes it easier to find.
I do the same thing. Write until I'm empty, then come back with it sparks again.

Write it. You never know how good it will be until you write it.

Only you know the answer to that question james...My guess is, that it is. I like to pick a target number of words. Let's say your' story is 60,000 words; write toward that goal, push past lulls in inspiration. It'll pass if you're determined... Don't be afraid to stray from your vision, even on a chapter or two. Hey, you never know.
