The past couple of days I've written articles that left me feeling bad, sad, unhappy...whatever, not that good. I really wanted to post something that everyone would respond to in a postive way. I went back to an article I posted in November, 2006, and decided to just post the photos. If you saw this before, I think you will still be amazed. The following images are all from the Dale Chihuly exhibit at the Missouri Botanical Garden. I would love to surround myself with his work at all times! All of these sculptures are done in blown glass.

Hopefully, everyone is smiling right now....

flit-they weren't really flamingos, but did have that look...he makes his things blend perfectly with the surroundings
I love his work and yes, you brought a smile to my face!
It is amazing to see his work in person. There are several places that you can see a piece of two of his work. As I said, St. Louis only kept a couple pieces, but the website tells where you can see his things.
I saw the Chihuly exhibit when it was at the Atlanta botanical gardens. I, too, have dozens of pictures I took. It was breathtaking. I was living in Houston at the time and I flew to Atlanta (where one of my sisters lived) just to see this exhibit. One of my other sisters also flew in for the show. The three of us had a blast — not just at the gardens, but for the whole weekend.
Thanks for rekindling a great memory.
Someone stole a piece of his when he had some of his work in Miami I don't know if they ever caught the person
