Some of you are familiar with my women's magazine, Della Donna, through the Gather article I wrote about it some time ago. If you are not, here is a quick synopsis: I started a magazine so that all kinds of women, regardless of their views and lifestyles, could share their experiences. I wanted their stories to be respected and spread amongst readers, because I find that often women do not get to say what is on their minds. The magazine has been a great success so far through the talents and efforts of my wonderful contributors, some of whom hail from Gather!
I had the great pleasure of interviewing one of my favorite writers, Beverly Donofrio, for Della Donna in the most recent issue. I never dreamed that I would have the opportunity to interview such a literary role model, but she was gracious and lovely. I am very happy that she took the time to invest in the magazine's vision with me.
Interviews that you can expect in the next few months include record label CEO Lunden De'Leon, That Takes Ovaries! author and activist Rivka Solomon, and the Strategic Initiatives Manager for Women for Women International, Ricki Weisberg.
I hope that those of you out there who agree that women should have such a platform will join me in making it happen by reading Della Donna or submitting your own work to be included! Also, I would love to hear suggestions. Is there any influential woman you would like to see interviewed?
Note: Men can contribute too, so long as their contributions are positive, and about women or women's issues.
Thanks friends.
