We have the new "flagship" of the Safeway store chains here. WE used to have the smallest safway round and the busiest in the state. They finally figured we deserved the bigest and the best. It has EVERYTHING in there, jamba juice, starbucks, a nut bar a grind house for coffee, it is awsome.

I live within 5 miles of a new Safeway, SuperFresh, Weis, Giant, Shopper Food Warehouse, Sam's Club, a newer Food Lion and Trader Joe's. We mostly shop Safeway - when I lived in South Carolina it was Bi-Lo or Winn Dixie but neoither are in the DC area.

I shop at either - Aldi's, Food Lion or Lowes. When I was in CA I loved Trader Joes but the closest one here is about a 2 hour drive. Whole Foods is nice but an hours drive. We used to have a Winn Dixie but no more.

I love Wegmans. The closest one is in Basking Ridge, which is about 45 minutes away. My closest supermarket is Shoprite and it is not that great a store. The one in Phillipsburg or Mansfield are much better. More stock. Easier to find new products and their produce is much better.

When visiting relatives in Sarasota FL, I love the Publix there on Tamiami Trail. Great store. Has a liquor license too and their deals on wine can't be beat. They have an Albertson's too which I love to visit.

I also love Trader Joe's but we have none locally. There are none anywhere nearby at all. I wish they would build one closeby. I love their whole wheat pizza crust so much. I also love their wasabi peas and their lime chile cashews.

Wegmans is tops though. Their produce dept can't be beat! Such a great selection of mushrooms, even truffles, altho at $700 a lb I don't think I'll be buying any anytime soon.

Hollywoods markets in Michigan. They have the best meat/fish departments..of any supermarkets!

We only have 3....Food Lion, Winn Dixie, and Super Walmart. So my fav of the three would have to be walmart since I can do all the shopping there for the most part, but then I have to go to winn dixie for a few things too ;)
