I just want to rant a little about all the "fair weather fans" out there. Being a hard-core, very loyal fan, it is hard to watch and hear about people who now call themselves fans. Some of you have probably figured out already that I am a Detroit Tigers fan. I have been a fan since I was little (more than 20 years ago but less than 30 since that is how old I am!). I have been there for them through the best and worst (the end of the 80's, all of the 90's and up until last year). I went to the games where there was only 10,000 people in the stands, watched the games on TV, and never let anyone say bad things about them in front of me. Now, some of the games are on ESPN (that was a rare occurance before), the games sell out, tickets are hard to get (luckily I have a source for this!), people all over wear their shirts and hats, and people are now calling themselves fans. I don't mind new fans. Don't get me wrong about that. I just wonder where some of them were when the team really needed them.
Anyways, I just needed to get that out. It has been bugging me since last year. Oh yeah and one more thing:
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!

:-)
moggy- good advice!
I agree with you - I hate fair weather fans too. Before Arizona got a team my family were diehard cubs fans - lord knows that have issues but we still watched everygame we could no matter what - (still do at spring training here in AZ - those games are so much fun) Good luck to your tigers!!!
But could add stuff as a Red Sox Fan :)
Hope your team is doing well...
