I spent the day chasing down leads and hoping to find a job but I found nothing but closed doors. I am sun burned, dehydrated, and really starting to get down on being here. I have met with little to no success and I went to a career center today but felt like the lady there was more interested in tallying me for the day and then getting me out. She handed me a list of jobs for the www.phoenix.gov/jobs and I looked at all them. I thought about one of them in particular and had to shake my head. What kind of little kid wakes up in the morning and says he wants to be a water services technician or a waste removal driver. That sounds like a fancy term for garbage man.
I always wonder about those people that have to do the jobs that no one in their right mind wants to do. There is that guy I saw on television once who has to dive down to the bottom of sewer to unclog things and some things he has to unclog, you don't want to know. There is also the look of fear as to what would happen if the suit tore, he just said it would be very bad with all the junk in the water. Could you imagine swimming around in the sewer, not enough money on the planet for me to swim with the floaters!

I am sure you will find something. It really is hard at first.
I returned to the work force about 8 months ago and it took me a while to find something!! It was really depressing....
