Needing time ALONE with my husband

I am very excited, because this coming weekend my husband and me are going away on our camping trip. Our little ones will be going to Nana and Papa's house! YAHOO!!! It seems since we have had children, our lives have altered so drastically that sometimes I can't remember my life without them. I feel like my time with my husband is very limited because of work and kids. So I am on cloud nine as I write this.

I cannot wait to get out into nature and enjoy some good old fashioned peace and quiet. I am taking along a book and my husband is taking his fishing gear. I am looking forward to sitting around the campfire, roasting hotdogs and smores, snuggling with my hubby under the stars. There will be no TV, no hustle and bustle, no deadlines ect.

For now, it's back to the diapers, bottles, laundry, and Barney. But you can bet your bottom, that Friday night I am gonna be lounging back in my lawn chair by the fire enjoying nature just the way I like it.

Good for you! We have to split 4 kids up among grands, both sets of whom have been ill lately and it's been us caring for them for a change. No babysitter is brave enough for our 4 kids. They're good kids, but tell them 4 and you get odd looks from both the sitter and the sitter's parents! LOL. Have an awesome time! If all goes well, hubby and I are going on a kid-free week-long cruise late Fall. Our parents' health is on the mend, thank God and they are fighters.

I know that can be hard. None of my family live here either. And somedays can be so OVERWHELMING!!!! We finally got it arranged for my Mom and Dad to meet us half way and take them for the weekend. I am counting down the minutes!
