For Harrel (as requested by your friend Judith T)

Foreword:  Harrel found out yesterday that his dear wife has cancer and that the doctors will be unable to remove all of it.  This prognosis was much worse than they had anticipated.  She did have surgery yesterday and as of last night, had not yet been informed of their doctor's findings.  Judith T. has asked that all of us here at Gather to place Harrel and his wife in our prayers.  Please do so.  Harrel, I do not know you but that has never been a requirement for praying for one another or loving one another.  I ask you now to allow me to share a prayer for you.

 Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you this morning in prayer for Harrel and his wife and we seek your divine wisdom, endless mercy, unconditional love and almighty power and ask that you bestow all of these on Harrel, his wife and their family as they come to terms with the cancer invading her body.  We confess our sins and our lack of knowledge for the reasons of our suffering and in faith turn both over to you for your forgiveness and holy judgement.  We beseech you Lord to bless Harrel's wife with comfort, peace and healing.  We ask you to bless the doctors, the hospitals and Harrel's finances in such a way that she may receive the full extent of care available.  We ask you to remove any physical pain, strengthen her spirit and give peace to her soul.  For you Father, are the ultimate Healer and the always present Comforter in our times of needs.  Please accept our praises for all that You do.

Lord, we ask that you reach down your mighty hand today and touch Harrel in such a way that he is assured of your love, your strength, your presence and that he is truly not alone in facing this trial.  Send your angels to administer to Harrel and his wife from this moment on.  Place within their hearts a peace and a patience that they both can draw off as they face the challenging days that lay ahead.  Please send your Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of all that read and hear this prayer so that they too will offer up their own prayers for Harrel, his wife and his family.  For we are all family united by you Father and the love that you show for all of us.  In Jesus' mighty and authoritative name we petition you with all of these concerns and humbly ask, O Lord, hera our prayer.  In the name of your Lamb and His precious blood, we pray.  Amen.
