Busy start to my week! Kids are still adjusting to the new school routine (and so am I!). My oldest is struggling in Science so extra time is being spent on that at home. Had a meeting last night at the school. We visited 2 kids' classes and then had to see the "Specials" teachers -- Spanish, PE, Art, Music, etc. We had to draw a "pop art pig". The art teacher had each parent take a clip board (which the kids thought was great fun, of course). She demonstrated step by step how to draw a basic piggie but we had license to elaborate as we saw fit. My piggie got a tattoo and a spiked leather bracelet, while dreamily sniffing a flower with its eyes closed. My husband almost fell out of the chair laughing when he glanced over at it! Wish I had it to share but they collected them. They were going to send them home after they pick some to hang on the bulletin board.
