My Dear Creatives,
As you sit in the secret, solitary places within your hearts and minds; places where you produce such wonderful words and works of art and photography, I want you to think about something. You have something precious. Yes You.
As I read and look at your fabulous creations, I'm amazed by you. Do you realize how vital are your gifts? Do you realize how your motivations encourage and support others?
I created SHINE! to give "voice to your vision" or in some cases "vision to your voice" if you will. I want a wider world to see what you have done and be moved by it as am I.
But where else do you share your gifts? Do you visit your local school and speak with an art class? Have you considered reading one of your stories at a nursing home? Can you sing, build a table, juggle, or tell a joke? Do you know of a struggling creative in need of mentoring and support? Can you hold a hand today?
We all have gifts of some kind. Someone, somewhere is in need of what we have. Let's not keep them waiting. Let's get out into that larger world and share.
