1. What is your greatest regret?
That is hard for me to say. I have several regrets but if I dwell on them, it just makes me discouraged. I prefer to try and keep all memory of them in the past.
2. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I do believe in them, they just haven't happened for me. I see couples who seem meant for each other so I have do think it can happen for some.
3. What do you believe makes a successful life?
Loving God, working hard, being kind to those around you.
4. Who is the person you despise the most and why?
I dislike people who are two faced: they say one thing to your face and something completely opposite behind your back. I think I will stop here for this one.
5. Are you a better leader or follower?
It depends on the circumstances. Many times I would rather be the hiding person and stay completely out of sight and not be either leader or follower. At work, I am the charge nurse so have to be the leader and in that situation I can do it.
6. Do you tend to argue with people or avoid conflict?
I hate to argue so go to great lengths to avoid any conflict.
7. What is your greatest fear?
Dying too early to see my grandkids grown up and settled in their lives.
8. What makes you laugh?
Sarcastic remarks or comments. Books written with a dry sense of humor like those of Bill Bryson or Patrick McManus.
9. What are your pet peeves?
Poor customer relations/service in stores and restaurants. People wearing their pants at half mast. Rude people.
10. What's the most adventurous thing you've done or would do?
After my first divorce, I took my 3 kids, ages 14, 10 and almost 4, to Europe for 3 weeks. We travelled around on Eurailpasses to many countries, found our own lodging every night and got robbed in Amsterdam. We had never been there before but we went back several times after that. No one I worked with could believe I made that kind of trip with 3 kids!

Thanks, saimy, for commenting.
Alison, it's weird how I could be so brave in some situations and cowardly in others! I was determined to get to Europe though and we made it! I had told my Mom when I was in high school studying French that I was going to Europe and she replied, "It's always nice to dream." That made me so angry and I've never forgotten it!
Bob, I'm curious as to what surprised you?
Thanks, Carolyn. I couldn't have imagined leaving the kids at home and going on my own. It wouldn't have been any fun as I would have worried constantly about them.
Thanks, James for coming by.
#5 reminded me of my neighbor, who is a retired nurse. She said she became an entirely different person when she put her uniform on. I remember having that same feeling as a phlebotomist. I felt in charge of that piece of my world. Everything else seemed to be falling apart around me but when I was at work, I was strong and confident.
Thank you for letting us learn some interesting new things about you.
And don't let any llamas spit.
Arlene, these questions are interesting for learning about people.
William, why don't you ever count ants when you go to sleep? You can fit a lot more of them in your bedroom than you can llamas.
Rita, I think I probably am fairly reclusive.
Getting robbed was a learning experience for sure. We spent most of our 2 days in Amsterdam in the police station filling out reports and looking through mug shots. Also spent a lot of time at the bank getting our traveler's checks replaced. With the time zone differences between Amsterdam and Spokane it took a while. We needed money to buy our ferry tickets back to England to catch our flight home. Had to go back to Amsterdam on the next trip to see more of the sights!
If you ever tag me again I will hit you llike I do Donald. LOL
Thanks, Janno, for you kind comments.
