Everything happens for a reason

It's funny, you don't always see the relationship between things for awhile. A lot of what has happened in my life has happened for a reason. Head up and just keep moving :)

I'm (sadly) a pessimist too... I'm trying to improve it...

I do believe that things happen for a reason. One of the most devastating things that has happened in my life happened 15 years ago when my 10 year old sister was killed by a drunk driver. It's hard to make sense of something like that but now I am volunteering with MADD and I speak once a month to DUI offenders. I would like to think that Maria's death is saving many others.

Good luck on finding a new job, one that is much better than the one you lost.

At the wonderful age of 70--I have learned that what you think and especially what you write and speak becomes your reality. If you can pay attention to what you think, write and say, you will be amazed at how life is exactly the way you perceive it.

A few years back I was leaving work with a coworker, we were walking to our cars and she kept muttering over and over again, "I hate this job! I hate this job!" I guess God or whatever Creative Power there is, heard her. The next day she was let go.

Another time I heard a friend say she wasn't meant to be happy. I got her to change that to a positive statement--I used to be unhappy but my life is changing and I'm getting happier. Yes, her life did change and she did become happier.

I lost my 44 year old son in a car accident a little over a year ago, have had three stents put into my heart recently, I now have 6 but I still try to make my comments positive. I thank my God for giving me a healthy heart, thanks to the Drs and those life giving stents.

Listen, listen, listen. Write positive sentences about yourself.

"I love my new job" I love my new job I love my new job.

Oh also, I lost my full time job and have been thanking God every day for the life I have, even when finances are a struggle.

If we all can send positive thoughts to each other, we can help improve each others lives.

You are what you think about all day, and those days eventually become the rest of your life... Act like you want to be and you will be how you try to act..
