Ah! Monday!

 What a short weekend. Monday again. I just finished reading Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys by Kate Brian. FUN!

Our granddaughter who's teaching in China wants some reading material. I've gathered up some books to send her and got a flat rate box at the post office. She won't receive many packages this year, let me tell you. The postage is high. Of course, considering the distance, I suppose it could be worse, and is unless you use the flat rate box. A 41 cent stamp sounds pretty good in comparison. The stories she tells are priceless. It is truly a different world over there.

I guess the old saying "Time passes when you're having fun" is true. I'm retired now, and my weekends are still too short. Some people say my life is a weekend. Not true. I still work, but doing the things I like to do.

Grandmother's do things like that, Amy. :) She will be in China until the summer. The teachers go for a year.

Teaching ESL? My late boyfriend did that all his life. Never made it to China, though. He WAS thinking about it, but then decided he'd done enough of that sort of thing.

Hi, Moh. It is my understanding that her students, and those of the other foreign teachers there, are the top students. She teaches junior high ages.

That's true, Corina. Right now they are on holiday (not Christmas holiday) and she's traveling all over, to Hong Kong and I forget where else, having a grand time.
