Breaking 6000 points goal

Has anyone here met the 6000 points goal? If yes, please explain any tips an tricks? What kept you motivated and persistent. I'm in the process of breaking the 3000 point limit, but I'm impressed by some and hope to one day go over 6000 points within a month. I'm trying to treat Gather, as I would a real job. Basically dedicate a couple of hours each and every day and post, post, post. What are your reccomendations? Any help greatly appreciated!

I have 1400 points after seven weeks. I can't seem to get over 100 points in a day with two or three hours time, and I do have a day job which keeps me from doing that much.

Not much reward for the time.

I never try to get above the 3125 mark so I can cash out for a card. I havent ever let mine go past that lol

I wish I had more ideas for articles but I get stumped as to what I want to write about despite my urge to write something.

For me I have cashed in a $50 gift card just about every month Gather held a promo. Because of the recent 25 point for a video promo I was able to cash in for one last week and then last week aI cashed in another for $50. It was real easy early in the summer when they had the picture promo I posted about 100 photos a day and got lots & lots of GF cards. When they had the triple point I tripled my posting and that too gave me 2 $50. gift cards a month. Once you hit the mark it is much easier to maintain. For example I recently was away for the labor day holiday and was not on gather but I came home and my score had gained 1,000 points just by my connections making comments to my articles, images & photos. I also have noticedthat I gain more points with a substantial articlerather then the game or simple s sentence3 postings.

By simple sentence articles I mean any article with two or three sentences alone do not gain much points; but if it is several paragraphs and not fluff you gain considerably more points. I also get alot of of points just after I invite someone to sign up to gather and they do. I also routinely ask 10 people to connect a day. And I join about the same amount of groups week. I do a search for a subject I like in the group section join the group and then ask everyone in that group to connect over the next week..

I cashed out almost a week ago for a $50 gift card. I'm now at 219 points. I had the help of the PWOTW group getting to my first $50 card.

I cashed out a $50 home depot card last monday, andother one last night and I have about 500 points towards my next one, I should have that by the end of the month. I was recently offered the cash option but I have sent a question before I make that determination.

I regularly do the equivalent of the 3,000 points a month and thus have the cash option. I do not think I have ever done the equivalent of 6,000 in one month or will ever really try.

I am only at 1100 and I thought that was good for almost a months worth of trying. I would love to be in those elite clubs of 3000 or 6000 a month, that would be awesome.

I am at 6,993 right now, and I cashed out once before that. I am just going to let the points accumulate for another month, and then cash them in again! I just download a lot of pictures, I have a few groups, and I try to go through the articles of my connections, and their images every night, and comment. Of course that is easier said then done some nights!

Sigiert- many comments like your 'thanks' are considered spam by gather officials SO i WOULD NOT DO WHAT YOU ARE DOING BY COMMENTING THANKS MORE THAN oNCE ON AN ARTICLE. Continuing to do so can get your article flagged. ANd to answer Sue, you do not gain lots of points by posting several comments to one article.

You earn points by writing substantial articles, the one or two sentence articles do not get many points. You get points by posting articles, images, & videos and commenting to other peoples stuff. Then you get points when people comment on your articles, images ,& videos. THe best way to me currently to gain points fast is to perticipate in any ongoing promo as much as possible. The current one is by inviting people to join gather. When someone does join as a result of an invite your points shot up and you get a gift card after 5 people join . But you also get points for creating groups. And if your articles or photos etc end up in the most discussed etc you gain even more points. You also get points for joining groups and making connections. I make it a rule to join 10 new groups a week and make connections to the people in those groups.
But stay away from posting copyrighted photos, images like cartoon characters etc or email articles without saying you have permission of the creator or it breaks the rules and you eventually will get flagged and then will not get points for those items.

If you are doing it for the 'money' of points, you're time would be better spent working at a job for minimum wage, I'd think. 6000 points is about 100 bucks. You could earn that in a week of working.
