Most Gather members know that Gather has a writing contest currently running. First Chapters Romance Contest for unpublished authors. No doubt many of you have already been asked to review various entries. I am also asking.
Some of you may not like Romance and feel the urge to go, “Spit, spit, Romance? Yuck!” However, there are some great story beginnings out there, in various subgenres of Romance—Science Fiction, Fantasy, Suspense, Mystery, as well as Historical and Contemporary. Some of the entries are polished and some are not, some are hysterically funny, others are dramatic, heart wrenching, endearing, and warm the heart. Both men and women have written these pieces and worked hard to get them finished and up for review. Why not take a look at some?
For many of us, this is the first time we have put up our work for the public to see, some you have seen various forms of the entries and had a part of the revisions. We could use the support of other gather members.

I think sometimes, we get so wrapped up in OUR ratings and whatnot, that we forget that there are some great stories out there. And that the CONTEST also deserves mention, not just me, personally. Thanks for getting it.
I was told you were a class act, and I have to agree with that. Glad you guys are alive and well. Firefighting is tough work.
