Cure for Diabetes

It's in the pike folks.  I full fledge cure for that horrible disease.  Even people who take insulin will be cured within months of this new drug.  It's grown in lettuce.  Made into a powder and swallowed.  The body reacts by making normal amounts of insulin and returns your blood sugar to normal. 

If you know anymore about this, please write me here.  This is wonderful.  Why four years?  This disease is a killer.

I got the link.  I posted it twice and am featuring it.  My husband has this disease and this is the best news I've heard on it.  It's lettuce injected with something that causes the lettuce to give off an ingredient that has actually cured people who have had diabetes for years.

This is something new I've never heard about. But I can say, it's about time! I don't understand why more cures for diseases aren't found with all the money wasted on other things...or why there isn't free treatment for those suffering with anything. I just can't believe the big drug companies are that heartless to make big money off the fact that people are dying and have no choice but to pay top dollar to save or extend their lives. The drugs should be given to all who need them free of charge!

What kind of data is there? What kink of lettuce? I've not heard of this and my late husband's doctor has mentioned nothing. Is there research posted online? I'd really like to read more! Thanks. Debi
The only cure I know of, for Type II diabetes is a Gastirc Bypass. So far it is the only proven cure.
Thankfully I don't have diabetes.

Let me know please where you heard this or if you hear any more. I am on insulin and have friends who are not heavy that also are on insulin. This could so change our lives and the lives of the children I know that are on insulin too! Sounds like a miracle to me. Diabetes causes so much damage to the body. I don't have normal feeling in my feet and my hands. My father and grandfather had diabetes and neither was overweight like me.

The reason that there hasn't been a cure for diabetes is because the big drug companies don't want to find a cure. They want to keep people on insulin and other drugs that "manage" the disease forever. A cure would mean fewer profits long term and believe me, the drug companies are much more interested in profits than in your health.

Will they really release this? The medical community makes A LOT of money on people with diabetes. Do you think they will really let this cure it or will they "say" there are problems with it before it can be released?
I am not big into conspiracy theories, but I know the medical community has a lot of pull and they would lose money big time...Just a thought.
I'm not much into those kinds of theories either. That said, I don't believe it will be the drug companies that would find a cure. Rather, I think that some independent researcher somewhere will find it. Think polio. Click here for a timeline for Joseph Salk, his research, and what all has happened to wipe it out. I'd like to think that others are working against time to find the cure, I'm a perpetual optimist and you can't change me! lol

Carol -- is it an additive to the grown lettuce? I mean, would it be safe to say that if it is an ingredient found in just plain lettuce that eating lettuce itself would be beneficial to the cure???

This would be wonderful if true. I'd be interested in learning more. It would be nice to be "cured" or just not have to take insulin anymore and be able to eat like normal people do.

Wow! That would be great. My wife has type II and takes Actos. It costs a bundle and there is no generic. That would be like getting a $200 a month raise.

I have to agree with Tami, If they have it it won't come here, in EUROPE,CANADA FIRST. There are a lot of cures outside of the US for many things, but the gov. and fda whos stocks would fall if we were not sick all the time.

The FDA really takes it's time with approval of these new medication. The agency is a paradox to me - they constantly approve medications for arthritis and impotence that are later found to be harmful, and take their sweet old time with medications that can actually save lives. Don't get me started...
