Really good question. I wanted one so bad but my mom, for some reason thought that it would be a bad experience and I never got one. I really wished that I had gotten one behind her back but I was a goody two shoe kinda person. I'm glad that your POW came back home.

Back then I sold them at rally's , my guy came back too, but the one my boyfriend (now my husband) purchased did not come back. And as promised when he purchased it , that he would not take it off until he came home and h e never has so the braclet still remains on my husbands wrist.

Wow, April, your husband sounds like a great guy. That a lot of years to keep your promise. I was just a kid when I had mine, I wish I still had it because I don't remember the name of my soldier.

Yes, I had one. They were very popular when I was in elementary school. I had and lost several of them. I believe there is a website where you can find out information about the POW/MIA on your bracelet.

I have heard of them and I think one of my friends parents have one. How do you get one? Are they available for current soldiers?

Here is a link for more info on getting a bracelet. Sadly, they have KIA memorial bracelets for any of our brave service men and women lost in war.

My soldier didn't come back...I wore my bracelet for years...As an Air Force wife, I'm REAL glad to see people still remember these bracelets and what they stood for.

I had a POW bracelet, my soldier did not come home. I and my daughter, and granddaughter wore the yellow, " until they all come home" bracelet while my husband was in Iraq, he came home, she is still wearing hers for all the guys still there.

I still have my POW braclet .I dont know if my soldier ever came home.Is there still a way to find out?His name:LCDR Richard Nelson and date 3-6-68.Just a month after my daughter was born.
