Focused internally it reveals the true soul nature and the unchanging, indestructible bliss of spirit. The joy, which comes from the pleasures of the senses are fleeting. Discontentment ensues. The mind looking outward must create desire after desire to be fulfilled to appease the continuous longing. The mind looking inward finds the joy born of God, which forever renews itself, satisfying all longing, banishing all desire.
