I am new to PPOW so I hope this entry is right. It was a little more challenging than I thought it would be, but fun no less. If it is wrong, let me know.
This is nEARly more than a soul can bEAR;
How much this fEAR is tEARng me apart!
OverbEARing wEARiness, now piercing,
Deeply, as a sEARing spEAR through my hEARt;
I pray to rise EARly and find you there,
Like the way that you appEAR in my dreams;
When I wake and lEARn you are not nEAR me,
My wEARy hEARt yEARns and breaks more it seems;
PEARls and rubies, I fEAR are no value;
EARthly treasures hold no worth, it is clEARr;
In my EAR, if I'd hEAR that you loved me,
It is a wealth I'd find greater, my dEAR.
For now, I'll wait and wEAR your memory
As a shield until you return to me.
I would like to ask you a favor. I have entered the First Chapters Romance Contest and would appreciate your consideration. Only votes of ten are counted in the final tally. If you read it and like it, I would appreciate your 10 rating. If you are inclined to leave comments, then know that I encourage and I covet your honest praise and critique. If you prefer to email any negative critique to save my sensitive ego, I still would like your input. This is my first novel, and, as you’ll see in my comments, I have already taken much advice to heart. I cannot make corrections during the voting period. Thank you for taking a peek. This is a lovely first entry that emotionally engages the reader right up front, and its auditory value is particularly enjoyable. Wonderful use of the keyword!!!

What a beautiful verse of dedication! I think that you have well captured the essence of what this type of parting is like, and it will be especially touching for ones whose husbands are in the military.
Very nicely done!
Welcome to PPOW, you'll fit right in here!
